Police: little boy in front!! COME HERE~!

After finished buying groceries, I took a bus back to hostel. When reached bus stop, I just follow a person in front of me, using the shortcut (cross road without zebra line) to the other side. Usually I won’t follow, because is risky, but today I bought too many things and so heavy which leave me no choice but to take the short and risky way.

When halfway crossing the road, I saw a police car waiting just in front of me. Oh nooo~.. this time for sure will be fined by them. I just pretended nothing happen and crossed the road before any of the cars hit me. Later on, I heard.. “little boy in front! COME HERE~~!! Die die die… At that moment, in my mind, the only thought was where do I have pay the fine, because this is my first time and I heard it is very troublesome…

I just co-operate with them, i can’t run with 20kg of groceries, and they have police car. I walked toward them, they asked me whether I know how to speak in Russian, I said a little only. They asked me to give them the student card and put the groceries beside. I just took out my student card. One of them(the polica car driver) asked me to sit at the front seat in the police car. He took out the Road Traffic Rules and Regulation manual book, and showed me the picture, told me that I only can cross road if you see that sign which is located 50m infront. I said: “ooooo…..(pretended that I didn’t know.). Then he took out his ‘bill’, and started to ask for my details, i gave them all the details they needed, fully co-operate with them. He told the another police that I speak more than a little Russian Language and good in it.

Lastly, he passed me the bill and asked me to sign while I asked him how much should I pay for this fine, he told me….

IT IS FREE!!

Then I asked him what is this for? He said only for WARNING. I said That’s all? He reply that YES. Then I just sign the bill and pass back to him. Hahaha…

While I was sitting in police car, I saw another Russian teenage who made the same mistake like us, he was called for WARNING or FINE too. =P

That’s all for this Police Case. This is my 1st ‘bill’ in Russia, should keep it as a ‘wonderful’ memory. Haha. So guys, cross the road only on the zebra line or traffic light. Safety First!

Thanks God for guiding me through this procedure with Russian Police. Many people said Russian Polices are rude, but for me, they are kind. =P
