This is the favorite phrase said by our surgery tutor, he is Ass. Professor of Surgical “chair” (Russian love to use “chair” to describe their combination of Departments)
What is the Surgical “chair” consists of? It mainly consists of Surgical department (department which performs surgical operation), Anesthesiology Department, Endoscopic Department, Reanimation Department, Urology Department, Traumatology Department, and lots more..
During the ward round, there will be at least one representative from each dedicated department participate in it. Last week I counted, there were 3 professors, 1 Endoscopist, 1 Anesthesiologist, Head Nurse, 1 nurse from Radiology Department, ‘dirty’ nurse (nurse who clean & tidy), HO(s), Patients’ Surgeons and of course not to forget, international students. All together almost 18 people in 1 small ward (excluding patient), the group so huge right?
Time is flying fast, tomorrow will be my last day of Surgery rotation for 6th year 1st semester! In these 3 and half weeks, I can say that all of us learn quite a lot! But too bad, tomorrow is last class with this ass. professor and next time it will be in another hospital.
Though he is ass. professor, he is friendly and kind. Sometimes, he will chit chat with us about the matter which not related to Surgery. And, he writes down the correct answers for us when he marked our test papers. Do you want to know how old is he? Sorry, age is secret for male too..
Time is flying fast, so now I want to Zzzz.. zzz.. blek!!
